'Kin-Meet at PantheaCon
The last 'Kin-Meet was at PantheaCon in 2020. It was never held at PCon's successor The Gathering Paths, which only had one live event in August 2022 before they, too, decided to shut down operations. The information below is from the final event at PantheaCon 2020, to give you an idea of what these events were like in the past.
'Kin-Meet at PantheaCon - Saturday, February 15th, 2020, 5 PM - 10 PM
Hello, PantheaCon!
This is the SF Bay Otherkin Meetup's ninth annual special event at PCon!
We welcome otherkin and those who are friendly to us. Otherkin, or otherkind, are those people whose sense of essential self is other-than-human, especially beings of myth, spirit, or magic. It's okay if you don't use or didn't know the word "otherkin(d)". If you use another term like faeborn or changeling or mythfolk, or simply call yourself an elf, dragon, angel, elemental, or what-have-you, or if you are a therian or similar who would just like to hang out with some otherkin -- you're welcome too!
Sincere people with good intentions only, please. It's okay to just be curious, but this meetup tries to be a safe space for otherkin and is not a place for attacks or arguments or to get material for your research paper.
We have music, snacks and drinks, books, a pretty slideshow, Discord chats, buttons and badge ribbons, and our traditional game of Cards Against Humanity later in the evening. Some alcoholic beverages are available only for those age 21+ with valid photo ID (we card and stamp hands at the door). Please bring your own reusable cup! If you would like to bring food or drink to share, please provide a list of ingredients (for those with allergies or other dietary needs), and be prepared to take away any amount that is not consumed.
Donations of a few dollars towards the cost of food, drink, and swag we provide for the meetup are greatly appreciated! :)
There may be unaccompanied minors present at this event. The meetup is generally 18+ for our regular events, but at PantheaCon we draw from the general con population, which includes minors. Plan for yourself accordingly.
You do not have to be registered for PantheaCon on Saturday to come to this meetup. It is held in a private guestroom and no con badge is required to enter. However, if you are not attending the con and are considering driving just to come to the meetup, be aware that the hotel charges $28 (!) for self-parking; depending on your distance, it might well be cheaper to get a rideshare. In any case it will be very difficult to find a parking space on Saturday night. You might be able to get away with short-term parking in the restaurant/office park on Technology Drive, since many of those businesses are closed on Saturday evening, but that is very much at your own risk. Another option could be taking light rail to the Metro/Airport VTA station; from there you can walk 0.6 miles, or catch the free SJC Airport Flyer bus which goes past the Doubletree. (See the VTA's website and the section for the Extended Stay America on the PantheaCon transportation page, which describes the route.)

If you can't make it to this meetup but are interested in getting together with other "others" in the future, you're welcome to sign up for meetup announcements. (8/02/2023: note that this link is now broken)
